    I have bought a couple of big ticket items from Leslie"s. The service technician was really good.....but apparently they can not do paper work. The REWARDS after spending $1224 on a filter is 0. On my profile for their web site I do not have any equipment under warranty. So I sent a message on the website. They finally called a week later and after 3 phone calls ...NOTHING got resolved.   • Pool accessory for cleaning pole scooper



    3/2/2017 Needed to buy an accessory for my cleaning pole so off I went to Leslies around 11:08 a.m. Stood in line for about 5 minutes with no greeting from the 2 employees behind the desk. What made me upset was, after I found the part, with the help of another male employee who was in the back, koodos to him. I stood back in line to pay. Waited and waited for another 5-8 minutes.   • Extremely bad supply management



    I sent a Polaris pool cleaner for repair on Sept 26, and as of Jan 16, 2017 the part has not been shipped from China! We called every week and the management did not put ANY effort to resolve this issue. We can not return either, so we are completely stuck and our pool is messed up. Whether it is Zodiac/Polaris issue or Leslie's management issue, I would like to cross Leslie's pool ff of my preferred stores. I would not recommend them to competitors, such as Lowe's, Home Depot, OSH, etc. They need to improve the way they manage supplies and avoid customer frustration. More...

    I have used the Leslie's store at Jefferson Green In Newport News, VA for 13 years. Spending from $500 - $1,000 a season there.The Manager there Donte McRae is rude and incompetent. I took my Polaris there to have it checked out because it was not Running in the pool. It was there for 8 days. When I took it in a Saturday, he told me we were #2 and it would be back in 3-4 days.     We purchase a Hayward variable pump from Leslies. It is still under warranty. The pump has power but does not come on. Called Leslie's the earliest they can get out is ONE WEEK. The pump is the brains of the pool, if it doesn't work your pool doesn't work. This will cause chemical imbalances, algae and a host of other problems in one week.     We had been waiting for a phone call from our local Leslie's Pool store to call when the part we order the week before. No phone call, so my husband drove over.     3 weeks ago I scheduled an appointment to have my pool light remounted. Today I am told that they don't have the correct parts!     August 2014 we needed to replace our heater. Leslie's price was $2000, Amazon was $1200. The technician from Leslie's (Dave) said to get a heater and call him and he would install it.   • They're salesmen, not technicians, and they hate their customers



    Less than a year ago I had Leslies out to fix my filter and they talked me into buying a new filter. They wanted to charge me $1100 for the filter but when I pointed out that I could get the same filter on line, delivered, for $625, they dropped the price. (But hey, you can't blame them for trying to get an extra $475 from someone too trusting to look at what the price should really be, right?)     Leslie's Repair Dept. attempted to sell me a new filter when there was nothing wrong with mine. The repair guy arrived, looked at my filter and said that they can't work on it because you can tell it had leaked.     The "manager" at the Shenandoah location, Mr.Reid, is extremely rude and doesn't know his products! He tried to sell me a new control panel ($600) on a product that has a THREE YEAR warranty!     Cecili (Mgr.) was patronizing and rude. I didn't know the EXACT name of the product I needed to order (I called it Bull Frog) she ridiculed me for not knowing, and was patronizing.     After buying more than $400 worth of 25-50% over-priced chemicals from this company plus additional $180 in electricity costs, the Leslie's clerks and managers kept on selling and attempting to sell more products after they could not solve one problem.     A tiny plastic Hayward pressure valve costs $38 before tax, $41 out the door, at Leslie's Pool Supply and it can be ordered online for 21-25 with shipping.     This store constantly tries to upsell you products you don't need. They also trash competitor products. I called them last week to ask that they come out clean the filter and inspect all of the equipment to make sure it was ready for summer.     We have been longstanding customers of Leslies Pool supplies and have been pleased with their services until recently when I ordered incorrectly Chlorine tablets instead of Chlorbrite.     Leslie's has the worst customer service of any company that I have experieced. I had to wait 2 weeks for a service call , the whole time the the pool is turning black and green......but they don't seem to care about that.   • Double service charge and trip charge for repair



    Service Department. A service tech came out and unclogged my pool pump on Dec. 2, 2013 which was filled with leaves. It took him 20 minutes. I asked him to also replace a sticking ball valve I had discussed with him on his last visit. He told me the ball valve is a standard item to carry but he didn't happen to have one that day.     I went to Leslie's Pool in Warwick, RI to purchase parts for my filter. While I was there, I decided to pickup some shock. I checked with the salesman to make sure I was buying the correct product for a pool using chlorine free chemicals which he said I was. When I was ready to use the product, almost a month passed.     The employees and manager in the Hazlet, NJ store are terrible at what they do and appear as though they do not want to be there.     We purchase the Hayward automatic pool cleaner which was advertised to clean my entire pool, but it was defective, and Leslie's pools would not refund me, or make it right.     We were having trouble with the spa turning itself off and not getting hot enough. Called Leslie's store number 390. Their representative (Efren) came out and told us that we needed several parts. I have the numbers if you care.     I went to Lesies Pool Supplies to get a few things, I had to wait about 45 min. with my purchase on the counter, while the manager waited on another customer who had been there , he said " for two hours".     I have been a customer for years at the Parma Ohio location and have never had an issue until last week. I needed chlorine and found it online at Leslies for $84.99 so I went to the store to purchase it and found the in store price was $99.99.
