Don't Buy Leslies' Lies
After buying more than $400 worth of 25-50% over-priced chemicals from this company plus additional $180 in electricity costs, the Leslie's clerks and managers kept on selling and attempting to sell more products after they could not solve one problem. All three stores as is with their company policy is to over-sell products even if they are not needed. I spent close to $600 in 6 weeks attempting to clear the green which was not algae but excessive hardness and metals causing the water to turn emerald green. The store clerks and managers said they cannot tell a person to drain a pool even if it was necessary to drain and refill because of liability reasons, but they are more than happy to keep selling products that they with the knowledge that these chemicals will not help, since the water is too far beyond repair. After the lies and cons by this company, I could have spent less than $40 by a drain and re-fill and saved nearly $540 on the whole process.
Do not trust or buy products from Leslies unless you want to get the
1)wrong advice, 2)waste money,3) time and energy and promote a very dishonest business.
Keep your money in your own pocket and not in Leslie's owners and employees' pockets.
Check internet for the "how tos" and for the best deals on chemicals and equipment and parts and you'll save from 50% to 200% on your pool needs.
Baking soda is inexpensive and a great product for improving your alkaline balance. Pool acid is generic which can be bought any where cheaper than Leslies, Chlorine on-line 73% shock packets or tabs are available at a 30-50% discount compared to local pool companies like Leslies!. When you re-fill your pool use a in-line pool filter which will reduce the level of calcium hardness, total dissolved solids, metals and other impurities and keep your pool water fresh and healthy longer.
