Stay Away from Leslie's Pool Service
August 2014 we needed to replace our heater. Leslie's price was $2000, Amazon was $1200. The technician from Leslie's (Dave) said to get a heater and call him and he would install it. So it was done. Now my pool isn't running, kept tripping the breaker. You are forced to call a 1-800 number and talk to someone who knows nothing. I explained that I live in Texas and my pool isn't running. They give me an appointment 10 days away and tell me they will send a technician and tell me the charge to come out but they only work on pool equipment, if the problem is electrical, then I would need an electrician. I book the appointment but then call around to see if I can find anyone quicker as in 10 days with the pool not running I would have a swamp. Called a company that had done work for me before and he comes the next day. He finds that problem is that the wiring for the heater was installed wrong with the wires being pinched. Over time, the coating on the wires wore away and I had bare wires exposed. That was tripping the breaker. I was finally able to talk to the service manager who said he would be out the next day and to have work stopped by the guy who found the problem. All kinds of talk about standing behind their work. Guess what, service manager never showed up. Luckily by the time the manager told me to have work stopped on the repair, my guy had finished. So my pool is working no thanks to Leslies. I expect reimbursement since the problem wasn't with the heater it was with the installation that Leslie's did. Pool service all around from the call center giving out wrong information (service manager said yes they do work on electrical issues), to pool workmanship to the service manager not making things right.
